CTEC has been operating and maintaining the Plant for four years accident free. In that time CTEC Georgia has provided impeccable safety standards rising above cultural conceptions improving at each level. CTEC congratulates all CTEC Georgia staff on this achievement. This milestone reflects CTEC's endeavours to comply with international safety and environment standards alongside state of the art technology. We encourage all employees to continue their effective participation and sustained efforts in the enhancement and improvement of safety in every aspect of plant life to achieve even better safety performance in years to come. In 2005, CTEC secured a contract with JSC Energy Invest, a Georgian independent power provider, to deliver a complete engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operations and maintenance (O&M) package for its 100MW Gardabani Power Plant Project. In 2007, JSC Energy Invest extended CTEC's contract for a further 5 years of O&M. CTEC provides JSC with long term O&M services, including projected overhauls of the equipment, in conjunction with its local team. The contract is performance based to ensure the power plant meets its strict dispatch regime. Under this arrangement JSC Energy Invest is able to fully realise the benefits of its investment and smoothly fulfil obligations under Power Purchase Agreements with its clients.
